Each year since 1967, vexillologists, vexillographers, vexillophiles, flag conservators, and flag dealers from Canada, the United States, and beyond have gathered at annual meetings to showcase their research, discuss issues relating to the discipline, tour flag-related sites, view and exhibit flags and flag-related materials—as well as to renew and make acquaintances. When the biennial International Congress of Vexillology (ICV) is held in North America, it convenes in conjunction with NAVA's annual meeting.

Beginning with NAVA 11, a unique flag has been designed for each meeting, sometimes created by the organizing committee but usually selected through an open competition. Click on the meeting name to learn more about the flag and the meeting it represents.
