The NAVA 15 / ICV 9 Flag: This square flag, representing both NAVA 15  and ICV 9 (the 9th International Congress of Vexillology), was designed by Whitney Smith.  The flag shows an upright chevron, similar to the NAVA chevron, but in Canadian colors (red and white).  Within the chevron is the maple leaf from the Canadian flag.

NAVA's annual meeting was held concurrently with the International Congress of Vexillology.  While the proceedings were not published in a single volume, the papers and those published may be found here.

Organizing Committee: Auguste Vachon, Sandra Armstrong, Ruth Grimshaw, and D. Ralph Spence (Chair).

Significant Events:

  • NAVA 15 and ICV 9, assembled in Ottawa, Ontario, mark the 29th year of the reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of Canada.
